Autobiography is in the making, some people have started efforts for it, says Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that his autobiography is currently in the works. He revealed this during a special interview with actor Mohanlal, where he spoke about the possibility of turning his life experiences into a book.
Responding to Mohanlal’s question about whether he ever wanted to become a writer, the Chief Minister said he has not written in detail about his life. He added that he has written on political matters but has not seriously considered writing extensively under the present circumstances. However, he noted that some people have started efforts in that direction, though nothing has been completed so far.
The Chief Minister also opened up about how he spends his free time. He said he enjoys reading and watching films on television whenever he gets time. Among Malayalam films, he mentioned Amrutham Gamaya as one of the most unforgettable. He said that certain scenes in films often feel connected to real life. He added that he especially enjoys action movies and has a particular liking for actor Rajinikanth.
Speaking about books that influenced him, Pinarayi Vijayan said Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy deeply moved him. He also described Les Miserables by Victor Hugo as a work that shaped his outlook on life. In Malayalam literature, he said Kayar by Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai was one of the books that influenced him the most, calling it a novel that reflects an entire era.
