Flight services resume putting an end to concern of Gulf expatriates

DUBAI: Flight services suspended from some major airports in the Gulf region due to the war situation resumed on Tuesday. IndiGo will operate 10 special flights from Jeddah to Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad today. Etihad Airways had operated flights from Abu Dhabi to Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and Bengaluru the other day.

Emirates will operate flights from Dubai to Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai and Hyderabad today. However, Akasaka Air has suspended flights to Abu Dhabi, Doha, Jeddah, Kuwait and Riyadh till March 3. Air India Express is resuming Muscat services. Meantime, flights to Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Saudi Arabia have been suspended till March 3.

36 departures and 44 arrivals have been cancelled at Delhi airport so far today. 44 flights have been cancelled in Bengaluru so far. Meantime, flights to North America and Europe are operating despite delays. Flights to New York and Newark are also not affected. Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, UAE and Qatar airspace remain closed.

The passenger assistance control room set up in the ministry of civil aviation is active to address the concerns of passengers and resolve complaints. Complaints can be lodged on the ministry of civil aviation's social media and the air seva portal.
