Sexual assault case against Rahul Mamkootathil: First complainant moves Supreme Court, demands cancellation of bail
NEW DELHI: The first complainant in the sexual assault case against Rahul Mamkootathil has approached the Supreme Court seeking justice. The woman filed a petition in the Supreme Court, claiming that Rahul's bail is illegal and should be cancelled. The petition alleges that the High Court conducted a mini-trial of the case while considering the bail application, which is illegal.
The petitioner alleged that the case is under investigation and that the allegations against the complainant are inappropriate and should be quashed. The complainant alleged in the petition that Rahul molested around ten people, including a minor victim. It also mentioned that the Palakkad MLA forced the complainant to undergo an abortion. The petitioner also said that her life was under constant threat after she decided to move against the MLA.
