THRISSUR: C C Mukundan MLA stepped forward strongly criticizing Geetha Gopi, the CPI’s candidate declared in Nattika. Mukundan hints that Nattika is a payment seat. The MLA said former MLA Geetha Gopi has the ability to give the money collected and it not right to field her whose performance was bad.

He reacted strongly to the media after the CPI decided to field Geetha instead of the present MLA Mukundan. I don’t have the capability to collect money and give. The party gave her seat due to financial influence. He clarified that he will contest even if the party does not give him a seat. It is reported that various fronts have started discussions with him.

He said that the reason for his exclusion was the sectarianism in the CPI. The party did not say anything about this. The reason why the Cherpu constituency committee did not recommend his name was sectarianism. He alleged that only he was excluded after giving two terms to all the MLAs.

The CPI had earlier also excluded him in the district council elections. Mukundan had clarified that the Congress and the BJP had invited him that day. CPM leaders had also spoken. Mukundan had said that if the party ignores him completely, he would take other steps. It was after this he opposed the party's decision to field a new candidate in the constituency.
