'He is very fond of women and gold, no other minister has acted in such a cheap manner'
ALAPPUZHA: SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan has come down heavily on Minister KB Ganesh Kumar over the recent controversy involving allegations raised by his wife. Vellappally said Ganesh Kumar’s behaviour has damaged the image of the government and described it as a “stain” on the cabinet. He also said that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan should make a satisfactory decision on the matter.
“While holding a ministerial post, he is expected to maintain certain standards. No other minister has behaved in such a disgraceful and cheap manner. He is fond of women and gold. Even if the wife has withdrawn her complaint, the issue does not end there. As a public figure, he failed to show the dignity and respect expected of him. Ganesh Kumar has become a blot on a cabinet that is otherwise functioning well. His words show arrogance and feudal behaviour,” Vellappally said.
“Will any sane person say that he is in love with 5000 women? He is saying that those who are not in love are dumb and eunuchs. I am not saying anything more. This incident has caused major embarrassment for the Kerala government. Even if the complainant has withdrawn the case, it does not mean the issue disappears,” said Vellappally.
Meanwhile, Vellappally also commented on the political issue involving G Sudhakaran. He said Sudhakaran should have been given a party ticket and described him as a leader with strong public support.
“He is a good leader with influence among the people. It would be better for the party to keep him with them. The party should listen to his complaints and resolve the issues. Moving to the UDF would be a political mistake,” Vellappally said.
