KANNUR: CPM leader M V Jayarajan has rejected the claims made by T K Govindan, who left the party in protest against the decision to field P K Shyamala, the wife of CPM state secretary M V Govindan, as the candidate in Taliparamba. Jayarajan said that M V Govindan had no role in deciding Shyamala’s candidature. He also accused T K Govindan of being a “class traitor” and said that people will take a stand against such actions.
Earlier, T K Govindan, a district secretariat member who left the party, had announced that he would contest the election in Taliparamba. He also said that he would accept the support of the UDF.
