'Smart youngsters but no job opportunity, Kerala deserves better', says Karnataka Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar said that it was hopeless to believe in LDF when the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's own Kannur is yet to see any serious development in the last decade.

“Unemployment is at its highest in the state. The country has recognised that the youth of Kerala are smart. But there is no situation here to provide them with employment according to their skills. For job opportunities, investments should reach Kerala. The Kerala government has made little to no effort in securing investments.
There is not even one policy to attract investors. The decadent communist policy should be shown the door. It is estimated that more than 25 lakh youth are unemployed in Kerala. 20 per cent of the engineers working in the IT sector in Bangalore are from Kerala. In a survey conducted among Malayalees working in Karnataka, 90 per cent said they would come home to vote against the Left government.
If the Sabarimala loot had happened in any other opposition state, the CBI would have reached there in no time. This shows the unholy nexus existing between BJP and the CPM. Sabarimala is not just Kerala's issue; it affects all believers. The Prime Minister remained silent despite it being a national issue. The central government is offering protection for the looters. The people of the state will respond to this effectively.
The five guarantees given by Congress in Karnataka, which were accepted and implemented in the first cabinet itself, will be repeated in Kerala as well. If the UDF comes to power, all the promises made to the people will be fulfilled. The UDF will come to power with a two-thirds majority in the upcoming elections.”
