KOZHIKODE: Nijesh Aravind has resigned his DCC general secretary post. He resigned his Kozhikode DCC General Secretary post, claiming that he was deliberately excluded from the election campaign work. The resignation letter has been handed over to KPCC.

His complaint said that he was excluded from the programmes in Balussery constituency. Nijesh alleged that he was kept in the dark without participating in the programme. He had expressed protest over not being considered as a candidate.

Nijesh was considered for the Elathur constituency in the assembly elections, but the party dropped him in the last phase. The party did not give him any responsibility during the election campaign. He had come forward even when the first phase of the Congress's candidate list was released. He had said at that time that even if he is denied a seat in a thousand elections, he will not fight for a seat and a position until his death and that he will be seen here more actively than yesterday.
