Why selecting this airline could pay for your grocery and pharmacy bills
Air India Express has announced a strategic expansion of its Tata NeuPass loyalty program, extending benefits to its international network. Previously restricted to domestic travel, the move aims to consolidate the airline’s position as a leader in passenger loyalty within the Indian aviation sector.
The program operates on a four-tier system—Aviator, Explorer, Highflyer, and Jetsetter—structured around flight frequency.
The loyalty ecosystem relies on NeuCoins, where ₹100 spent earns up to 8 coins. With a fixed value of 1 NeuCoin = ₹1, these credits can be redeemed across various Tata-owned sectors, including retail, hospitality, and healthcare.
For travellers, the primary advantages include:
- Fare Reductions: Up to 4% discount on base fares for both domestic and international sectors.
- Ancillary Savings: A 30% price reduction on seat selection, in-flight meals, and excess baggage.
- Digital Incentive: A flat ₹500 discount for bookings processed via the airline’s official digital platforms.
The updated program introduces high-value vouchers to incentivise repeat bookings. Members receive a ₹2,500 voucher upon completing five flights, and a ₹5,000 voucher after the tenth flight.
This expansion reflects a broader trend in the low-cost carrier (LCC) segment to retain passengers through cross-platform utility. By integrating international travel into the Tata Neu ecosystem, the airline increases the "stickiness" of its services, offering a tangible return on spend that extends beyond the airport.
Enrollment is managed through the Air India Express website and mobile application.
