Nurse from Kerala dies in Kuwait accident

KUWAIT CITY: A nurse from Kerala died in an accident on Saturday night in Kuwait. Five others sustained injuries in the accident. The dead identified as Mercy Mariyakutty was a nurse under KRH Company in KOC hospital. The accident occurred Saturday night at 9 pm in between Sixth Ring Road and Ahmadi Road. The vehicle of the private transport company carrying nurses to their workplace collided with the vehicle of a native of Kuwait. Eye witnesses said Mercy was trapped behind the wheel when she was thrown out from the vehicle. Three other nurses who sustained injuries are admitted at Adan Hospital. Their injuries are not so serious. Mercy was staying in Abbas. Her husband Biju is also in Kuwait. The couple’s daughter is in Kerala. More details are awaited.
