Anti-CAA protests: Kerala miss out on calamity aid from centre; Other states to receive Rs 5908 crores

NEW DELHI: Excluding Kerala, the central government allows Rs 5908 crores for seven states as flood relief. Kerala was omitted from the list for 2019 which has Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh as beneficiaries.
The funds were allowed in a meeting presided by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Kerala had requested Rs 2100 crores as flood relief.
