Nirbhaya case: Mukesh Singh files mercy petition

NEW DELHI: Hours after the Supreme court rejected a curative plea filed by two convicts in the Nirbhaya rape and case, one of the culprits has moved a mercy petition against his capital punishment.

According to prison authorities, Mukesh Singh, one of the four death row convicts, filed a mercy plea before the President on Tuesday evening. It must be noted that the four convicts are to be hanged on January 22.
