Activists sustain injuries after march turns violent in Kollam

KOLLAM: The march staged to Kollam collectorate by Yuva Morcha seeking withdrawal of the fake cases registered in the name of the activists, turned violent. The police used water cannons and tear gas towards the protestors. Reports said five sustained injuries after tear gas shells fell on them. The injured have been shifted to the hospital. One sustained serious injuries.

The Yuva Morcha alleged that the police used water cannons and tear gas without any provocation. The activists protested by squatting in the road. The clash has not been eased.
