1800 tonnes of onions to be stored: CM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday said in a press conference that 1800 tonnes of onions will be purchased and stored in the state to control the huge inflation. It is expected that distribution will start by November 3. It will be priced at Rs 45.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the ministers of food, public distribution, co-operation, agriculture and finance.
