COVID-19: Kerala records 8516 cases on Wednesday, 7473 cases through contact; 8206 recoveries, 28 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 8516 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, Health Minister KK Shailaja informed. Among the new cases, 7473 persons developed the disease through contact including 879 cases without an identified source of infection. 97 persons that came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 67 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 8206 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of today, there are 84,995 active cases in the state.

The state recorded 28 COVID deaths on Wednesday with the toll rising to 1587.
