Gold worth Rs one crore seized from Nedumbassery airport

KOCHI: Gold worth Rs 1 crore seized from two passengers at Nedumbassery airport. They were trying to smuggle gold in the form of biscuits. The gold was seized by the Air Intelligence Customs at the Kochi airport.
The women have been identified as Kunnamkulam native Haseena and Malappuram native Shemi Shanavas. While Haseena arrived from Dubai on a SpiceJet flight, Shemi arrived from Sharjah on an Air Arabia flight.
