Kerala logs 5254 COVID-19 cases on Sunday, 4445 cases through contact; 6227 recoveries, 27 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 5254 cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among this, 4445 persons developed the disease through contact including 662 cases without an identified source of infection. 94 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 53 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 6227 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 65,856 active cases in the state.

The state recorded 27 COVID deaths on Sunday with the toll rising to 2049
