COVID: Kerala reports 3757 new cases on Monday; 3272 cases through contact, 22 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 3757 cases of COVID-19 on Monday, health minister KK Shailaja informed. Among this, 3272 persons developed the disease through contact including 377 cases without an identified source of infection. 76 persons who came from outside the state also tested positive for the virus. 32 health workers tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 5425 patients tested negative for the virus today.

The state recorded 22 COVID deaths on Monday with the toll rising to 2071.

In the last 24 hours, 35,659 samples have been tested. The test positivity rate stands at 10.54.

With the addition of 4 new regions today and the removal of 7, there are 556 hotspots in the state.
