THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The LGS Rank Holders' Association protesting in front of the secretariat while addressing the media said that at least one fifth from the rank lists should be appointed and that they will not end their strike just because regularization of temporary employees has been stopped in the state. They said protests will continue till talks are held with the ministerial level or with the chief minister.

Laya Rajesh, their representative had earlier asserted that the strike will continue till a decision is taken in favour of them. Not asking for additional posts. One fifth of the appointments should be implemented. We pinned hope on chief minister’s words. More than nine thousand will be appointed if one fifth of appointments are executed.

Even after months remaining on lists like LD, a lot of appointments are still being made. We are asking for posts legally eligible, she said.
