Man dies after ladder from vehicle accidentally pierces into his stomach

CHERTHALA: A pedestrian met with a tragic end after a ladder fell from the back of a KSEB contract vehicle and pierced into his stomach. The deceased has been identified as Kattachira native Kunjumon (46). The incident took place on the Cherthala-Thanneermukkam road on Thursday morning.

Kunjumon was returning home after tying the goat for feeding. Though he was rushed to Cherthala Taluk Hospital with serious injuries, he soon succumbed to his injuries. Muhamma police said a case has been registered against the driver of the vehicle. Kunjumon is an LIC agent. He is survived by his wife Beena and daughter Varsha.
