Indian Embassy issues advisory to Indians in Israel, starts helpline

NEW DELHI: The Indian Embassy in Israel has issued a advisory to Indians in the country in the wake of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The embassy advised Indians to be vigilant and follow the security protocol provided by the local government. The embassy has also issued an emergency helpline number: +972549444120.

Soumya Santosh, a native of Idukki Keerithode, was killed in a rocket attack by Hamas yesterday. Following this, the embassy issued a warning to Indians.

The embassy advised people to follow the recommendations of the local governing bodies, or local authorities, and to stay close to safe shelters to avoid unnecessary trips.

The embassy also requests that if the service is not available on the emergency number, a message should be sent to cons1.telaviv@mea.gov.in. The Indian embassy in Tel Aviv said in a press release issued on Facebook in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi that embassy officials are ready to provide all kinds of guidance and caution.
