Covid positive woman dies a day after delivery

THRISSUR: A Covid positive woman died a day after delivery. She has been identified as Jesmi, a native of Pala. She was 38. She contracted the disease while she was pregnant. She delivered a baby girl the other day.

The baby was taken out through emergency C-section after her health worsened. The baby is Covid negative. Her husband and her eldest son had contracted the disease earlier. They turned negative two days back.

Jesmi’s husband Hormis George is reporter of Mathrubhumi, Thrissur bureau. She is daughter of Antony and Lali of Pala. Her siblings are Lismi and Anto.
