Decisive turning point in Kodakara hawala case; team to investigate role of Surendran’s son

THRISSUR: The team in the Kodakara hawala heist case will investigate the role of BJP state chief K Surendran’s son Harikrishnan. The investigation team has found that Dharmarajan, the main accused in the case and K Surendran's son had spoken on the phone several times. It has been found that the two had met in Konni during election time. The team has decided to record the statement of Harikrishnan.

The driver and the secretary of K Surendran have given a statement to the team that they know Dharmarajan. They told police about it when they were summoned to Thrissur and in their statement given.

The secretary and the driver in their statement said they know Dharmarajan and that they had handed over election materials to Dharmarajan and had contacted him via phone many times. The statement also said that Surendran knows Dharmarajan. However, the driver and the secretary said that they don’t know whether the two met during election time. Both were sent after the interrogation yesterday.
