'States were consulted to change vaccine policy': Muraleedharan says there is another reason for Centre taking over entire responsibility

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Union Minister V Muraleedharan said that the Union government has decided to change the vaccine policy in consultation with the state governments. The states themselves have demanded a decentralized vaccine policy. But they have not been able to effectively implement the procurement and distribution of the vaccine. The media had reported that out of 63 lakh doses given in Kerala in January-March, only 34 lakh were distributed. He wrote on Facebook that it is in this context that the Centre is now taking over the entire responsibility again.
