Support for Aisha Sultana; mass resignation in Lakshadweep BJP, 12 people including general secretary hand over resignation letter

KOCHI: Lakshadweep unit of BJP has witnessed the mass resignation of party workers in protest of the move to file a sedition case against Aisha Sultana. Twelve people, including Lakshadweep BJP general secretary Abdul Hameed Mullipura, have resigned from the party. The resignation letter was issued in protest of the president's decision to file a lawsuit against Aisha Sultana.

The Kavaratti police had registered a sedition case against Aisha for using 'bio-weapon' remark. The case was registered based on a complaint by Lakshadweep BJP president C Abdul Khader Haji.
