Refund without delay: IRCTC introduces changes for online ticket booking

NEW DELHI: Indian Railways has introduced a major change in the refund system for online ticket booking. IRCTC has announced that tickets booked through the website and app will be refunded immediately if canceled. Refunds will be available without delay to those who make payments through IRCTC-ipay, the payment gateway of IRCTC.
A spokesperson for Indian Railways said that the user interface of IRCTC-ipay has been changed and it is hoped that the new system will benefit train passengers. Under the current system, those who cancel their tickets have to wait for two to three days to get a refund.
