Strong evidences against guilty, IG Harshitha Attaloori promises strong action

KOLLAM: IG Harshitha Attaloori said there are strong evidences against Kiran Kumar, husband of Vismaya, who committed suicide. Medical and electronics evidences are strong. Strong action will be taken against the accused, she said while talking to the media after visiting Vismaya’s house.

IG said that a case will be registered after registering the statement of the family members on the incident of Kiran attacking them. There are no lapses on the side of the police on the incident that happened then. The police reached the spot and took strong action. The IG said they withdrew from the case as they did not want to ruin their daughter’s life.

The police have got the post-mortem report of Vismaya. Has to talk to the doctor. Therefore, the details of the report cannot be revealed now. She said statements will be taken from Vismaya's friends, relatives and neighbours.

Murder charge is 302. If it is dowry death, then it 304 (B). The offense is punishable by up to seven years of life imprisonment. It's not about murder, the girl has lost her life. This is a serious case. The IG added that she believes the culprits would be severely punished.
