Travancore Devaswom Board to open temples, entry limited to fifteen people at a time

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Travancore Devaswom Board has announced that devotees will be allowed to enter temples after the government decided to open places of worship after the Covid lockdown. Admission is limited to fifteen people at a time. The next fifteen people will be allowed entry only after the visitors have left. Devotees won't be allowed to enter during pooja times.

Devotees cannot be directly given 'prasadam' by the priests. Prasadam will be kept outside of the sanctum sanctorum and the devotees can take it from there. . 'Balitharpanam' can be performed with no more than 15 persons at a time by adhering to Covid norms. Saptaha, navaha, and food offerings are not allowed.

There will be necessary steps for cleanliness at temples. The 'darshanam' facility will be arranged according to the test positivity rate of the place each day. This will not be allowed in places with TPR above 16%.
