Kerala records 23,676 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, TPR at 11.87; 148 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 23,676 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Among these, 22,530 persons developed the disease through contact, including 927 cases without an identified source of infection. 105 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 114 health workers contracted the disease on Tuesday.

15,626 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 1,73,221 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 148 deaths due to the virus on Tuesday with the toll rising to 17,103.

District wise breakup of positive cases:
Malappuram 4276, Thrissur 2908, Ernakulam 2702, Kozhikode 2416, Palakkad 2223, Kollam 1836, Alappuzha 1261, Kottayam 1241, Kannur 1180, Thiruvananthapuram 1133, Kasargod 789, Wayanad 787, Pathanamthitta 584, Idukki 340.

1,99,456 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate stands at 11.87.
