Woman killed following altercation between neighbours on Thiruvonam day

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A dispute between families in Thiruvallam culminated in a murder. Raji (40), a native of Thiruvallam, was killed in an attack by his neighbor Gireesh. The incident took place this morning.

During the altercation, Gireesh killed Raji by hitting her on head with a stone. Locals said there had been a dispute between Raji's family and Gireesh's family in the past. Gireesh, who went into hiding after the incident, was arrested by the Thiruvallam police. Raji's body was shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College mortuary.
