KOZHIKODE: The state committee of Haritha, the MSF women's wing, has been reorganized. PH Ayisha Banu is the new state president. The new committee will have Rumaisa Rafeeq as General Secretary and Nayana Suresh as Treasurer.

The state committee was reconstituted following the dismissal of Haritha State Committee recently by Muslim League leadership following the non-withdrawal of a complaint filed against MSF state president PK Nawaz in the Women's Commission. The current president, Ayisha Banu, was the treasurer of the disbanded committee. General Secretary Rumaisa Rafeeq was earlier Kannur District President and Treasurer Nayana Suresh was Malappuram District office bearer.

On June 22, 10 leaders of the old Haritha state committee lodged a complaint with the Women's Commission alleging sexual harassment by PK Navas and Malappuram district general secretary V Abdul Wahab during the Kozhikode MSF state committee meeting. Navas and Kabir Muthuparambil had apologized on social media following discussions.

But the Haritha leaders were of the view that action should be taken at organizational level and said they would not withdraw the complaint to the Women's Commission without taking action against MSF leaders, including Nawaz. Following this, the state committee dismissed the Haritha leaders for violating discipline.
