Case politically motivated, don’t know Sundara, says Surendran

KASARGOD: BJP state chief K Surendran was interrogated in the Manjeswaram election bribery case. He said the case is politically motivated. He told the investigating officials that he don’t know Sundara and was not in station on the day stated to have given the money.

He also told the crime branch that he had not stayed in the hotel in Thalippadappu to make him sign to withdraw the nomination papers. He said he was cooperating with the investigation because he had faith in the legal system. Surendran reached Kasargod guest house at 11 am for the interrogation. The case against Surendran is that he threatened and bribed BSP candidate K Sundara to withdraw his nomination.
