Chandrika money laundering case: Kunhalikutty appears before ED

KOCHI: Muslim League leader PK Kunhalikutty has appeared before the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the case of laundering black money worth Rs 10 crore using the party's mouthpiece 'Chandrika.' While stating that he was appearing before the ED as a witness, Kunhalikutty added that he will cooperate with the probe.

Earlier, the ED had issued a notice to former minister KT Jaleel to testify and gather evidence in connection with the Chandrika case. It was Jaleel who revealed to the media that ED had summoned Kunhalikutty and his son. It has been alleged that the money obtained through the Palarivattom flyover scam was laundered using Chandrika daily.

Jaleel had revealed that he had handed over evidence and documents against Kunhalikutty and his son to the ED.
