BJP-SFI activists clash in Kollam, four injured

KOLLAM: Conflict erupted between SFI activists and BJP activists at Kadakkal in Kollam. The incident took place in front of Kadakkal SHM College. Four people were injured in the clash. Safar, an SFI district committee member, was left with injuries in his arm. All the three BJP workers were rushed to hospital with head injuries.

The SFI alleges that BJP activists violated Covid norms at the college to conduct Ayudha Puja. They say BJP activists attacked students for questioning this. Meanwhile. The BJP alleged that the armed SFI activists attacked without provocation. The situation was calmed down by the police.

Following this, BJP-DYFI clashes took place in Thiruvananthapuram as well. The clash took place at Madapuram in Vembayam over a waiting shed. Four people were injured. CPM branch secretary Suresh, DYFI activist Rahul and RSS activists Jithin and Vineesh were injured. Two were admitted to the Medical College and two to the Kanyakulangara Government Hospital.
