THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP leader Sandeep G Varier has said that according to a UN University study team, only Mullaperiyar has been found as the dam in an extremely alarming condition in India. "If anyone thinks that the Mullaperiyar Dam, which is over a hundred years old, poses no threat, I do not agree with them. This is the problem of Kerala's survival. It is an issue that Malayalis have to agree on beyond politics. How can a Malayalee sleep with this water bomb above the head? A new dam is needed at Mullaperiyar. Tamil Nadu needs water and Kerala needs life," Sandeep wrote on Facebook.
