Missing child’s body found in river in Wayanad

KALPETTA: The body of the missing two-and-a half-year-old child from Meenangadi has been recovered from the river. The body is that of Sivaparvana, daughter of Shiju of Kalpetta and Dhanya. The child went missing the other day.

Sivaparvana went missing after she came to her aunt’s house at Puzhanguni Chevayi in Meenangadi. She may have gone missing after falling into the river while playing. The child's footprints were found on the banks of the river. Although a search was conducted the whole day yesterday, could not find her. The search resumed Sunday morning. The body was found under the Kuttirayan bridge on the National Highway.
