Police registers case against Joju George for not wearing mask in public, Rs 500 as fine

KOCHI: Police have registered a case against actor Joju George for not wearing a mask during the Congress road blockade. The case was registered by Maradu police following a complaint lodged by Youth Congress state secretary PY Shahjahan with the DCP. A fine of five hundred rupees must be paid by the actor. According to Maradu police, a GL petty case was registered against Jojo on the day of the incident. In those days Jojo did not pay the fine at the station. Police say there will be other actions if the fine is not paid.

Police have registered a case against 15 Congress leaders, including Shah Jahan, for violating Covid norms and participating in the agitation in Vyttila. Shah Jahan, who was arrested in connection with the vandalizing of Jojo's car, was released on bail yesterday.
