THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The baby believed to be that of Anupama in the case of giving adoption without the mother’s consent, will be brought to the child welfare committee in the capital city today. The officials accepted the baby from the couple in Andhra Pradesh last night. The baby was received in the presence of the officials of the child welfare committee in Andhra. Today is a very happy day in my life, said Anupama.

The samples will be collected for the DNA test of Anupama, Ajith and the baby soon after the baby reach the state. The results of the DNA test will be obtained in two days. If the result is positive, the Child Welfare Committee will take steps to hand over the baby to Anupama, the officials said.

Meanwhile, the baby's mother Anupama came forward with serious allegations against the child welfare committee in the incident of adoption of the baby. Anupama asked how the child welfare committee gave the baby for adoption when they don’t have a license. She demanded to register a criminal case against Shiju Khan and arrest him. What happened was child trafficking and she alleged that her baby was trafficked under the cover of government.

The license tenure for adoption by the Child Welfare Committee was from July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2021. Therefore, it is alleged that the child welfare committee did not have a license when the baby suspected to be that of Anupama was handed over to the couple in Andhra.

The Thiruvananthapuram Family Court had yesterday harshly criticized the child welfare committee in the case. The court ruled that the child welfare committee did not provide clear details of the license and that a clarification is needed on the license. The court postponed the case to hear the arguments in detail.
