Kerala records 3277 COVID-19 cases on Monday, 30 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state confirmed 3277 COVID-19 cases on Monday. Among these, 3056 persons developed the disease through contact, including 187 cases without an identified source of infection. 9 persons, who came from outside the state, tested positive for the virus. 25 health workers contracted the disease on Monday.

5833 patients tested negative for the virus today. As of now, there are 40,730 active cases in the state.

The state confirmed 30 deaths due to the virus on Monday with the toll rising to 41,768.

District wise breakup of positive cases:

Ernakulam 568, Kozhikode 503, Thiruvananthapuram 482, Kottayam 286, Kannur 267, Thrissur 262, Kollam 200, Idukki 142, Malappuram 135, Alappuzha 123, Palakkad 99, Pathanamthitta 95, Wayanad 62 and Kasaragod 53.

45,412 samples were tested in the last 24 hours.
