PALAKKAD: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the policy of the opposition is that there should be no development program in Kerala. "The same can be said for those who scoff at development projects. Don't try out intimidation here. The state must move forward. They are all small groups", the CM said. He was speaking at a public meeting after the CPM Palakkad district conference.

"Only forces against the state can stand against development projects. We do not have to worry about that. But why should the government give in to vested interests? It is not stubbornness, but a decision to move the state forward. Land acquisition issues related to development projects can be discussed. The BJP is trying to use the central government to sabotage several projects. They say there is no need of development during the time of the LDF. Then when should development come?", he asked.

He also accused the Congress of becoming a party that contributes people to the BJP.
