Doctors withdraw mass leave agitation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Doctors in the health department who are protesting with a demand to resolve the issues in salary revision have called off their mass leave agitation to be held tomorrow. They were planning to protest by taking mass leaves and through non-cooperation. KGMOA President Dr GS Vijayakrishnan and Secretary TN Suresh said they had received written assurances during a meeting with Minister Veena George on Saturday, that the order restoring the benefits would be issued soon. The strike was called off in view of the escalation of the Covid situation.
