75-year-old commits suicide after hacking wife to death in Kollam

KOLLAM: A 75-year-old man committed suicide after hacking his wife to death in Mundrothuruthu. The dead has been identified as Purushothaman (75) of Nenmeni and Vilasini (65). The incident came to light after the locals informed the police seeing the dailies lying outside and following that a search was conducted and the bodies were found.

Purushothaman’s suicide note has been found. The couple has no children. His relatives told police that he was undergoing treatment for mental illness.
