THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Swapna Suresh, the accused in the gold smuggling case, has revealed that IAS officer M Sivasankar had promised her that they could live together in Dubai after he retires from the service. Swapna made this revelation while talking to Kaumudy TV's 'Straight Line' program. The episode was aired on Saturday.

"Sivasankar had asked me to look for a flat in Dubai. He had planned to start a venture in Dubai along with a friend of the Consul General. The discussion regarding this had taken place and a Letter of Intent was signed. However, the project failed to materialise following the untimely death of my father. Later, the Covid pandemic began. Eventually, all these problems came and it was all over. There is not a single day in which I don't think about suicide. However, I change my mind after remembering my children's faces," Swapna said.

"Sivashankar was a man who knew me personally, officially and family-wise. We had travelled abroad together. I had trusted him the most in my life. What can I gain by cheating him? Did he quickly forget the friendship and relationship you shared for three years? Now only I suffered major loss" she added." Swapna added.
