Returned after paying money for food, response misinterpreted, says P P Chitharanjan MLA

ALAPPUZHA: P P Chitharanjan MLA said that some are personally attacking him in connection with the hotel controversy. While talking to a private channel, he said that his statements were misinterpreted.

The MLA clarified that he returned after paying money for the food and that is why asked to check the CCTV footages. He added that the hotel owner is behind the trolls against him.

The MLA came against the hotel owner for charging Rs 184 for eating five appams and two egg curries. The MLA had breakfast from a hotel in Kanichukulangara. He said they charged Rs 15 for a very thin appam and Rs 50 for one egg curry.

The MLA lodged a complaint with the district collector seeking action against the hotels in Alappuzha constituency for charging more. Soon after this, trolls appeared against the MLA on social media.
