Three of family killed in car-lorry collision, four-year-old in serious condition

WAYANAD: Three members of a family were killed when a car and a tanker lorry collided in Wayanad. The accident happened Tuesday morning at 11.30 am near Kakkavayal on way to Bathery from Meenangadi.

Passengers of the car and natives of Kakkavayal identified as Praveesh (39), his wife Sreejisha (34) and Praveesh’s mother Premalatha (62) are those killed. The couple’s four-year-old son Aarav has been admitted at Kozhikode private hospital in a serious condition. Praveesh who was driving the car died on the spot itself. Though the other two were taken to the hospital by the natives of the area, their lives could not be saved.

The accident happened while they were returning after visiting their relative. The car has been completely damaged in the accident.
