Nooranad Congress office attack: Public prosecutor also an accused, video showing him instructing for attack comes up

ALAPPUZHA: Police have named a public prosecutor as accused in connection with the attack on the Nooranad Congress office. Adv Solomon, Public Prosecutor at Mavelikkara District Court has been named an accused in the case. Earlier, a video had surfaced showing Solomon instructing for the attack in front of the Congress office. Soloman was named an accused on the basis of this video.

Clashes broke out between the two parties after CPI activists hoisted flags and erected flagpoles in front of the Congress office. A hartal was declared in five panchayats near Charummoodu on Thursday after CPI activists stormed into the Congress office and vandalized it. Activists belonging to the two parties clashed in front of senior police officials. The Congress had strongly protested against the police for not intervening in the matter.
