Archery competition: Kannur district became overall champions

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kannur district became overall champions in the archery competition held as part of the first Kerala Games. Kannur district won five medals including three gold and two silver in the archery competition. Thrissur district came second with three medals including two gold and one bronze. Wayanad district came third with two medals, winning one gold and one silver.

Devikrishna R Nair from Thrissur won gold in the women's compound category and A T Alex from Thrissur won gold in mens category. Kannur's Srirudra and Dashrath Rajagopal won gold in the womens and mens Indian round category. In the recurve category, K V Arun from Wayanad and M J Telmamol won gold in mens and womens category respectively.
