KOCHI: The High Court has sharply criticised SDPI and Popular Front and said that both the organizations were involved in serious crimes. The court mentioned this on petition seeking transfer in investigation of the Palakkad Sanjith murder case to the CBI. The court order contains serious allegations against the organisation.

However, Justice K Haripal refused to hand over the case to the CBI. The High Court said that the SDPI and the Popular Front were involved in serious crimes. The High Court also noted in the order that neither organization was banned.

The court order mentions that the police report states that state and national leaders of the SDPI and the Popular Front were not involved in the Sanjith murder case. All the main accused in the case have been arrested. The court did not hand over the case to the CBI on the ground that it would prolong the investigation.
