No one knew my relationship with Ajith, my family knew about my pregnancy only at the eighth month, says Anupama

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: No one knew my relationship with Ajith, said Anupama, who was in news after going on a strike seeking to reunite her with her son. Even our close friends did not know my relationship with Ajith. My family knew about my pregnancy only at the eighth month. She said that her father’s perception was that party groupism is behind it.

There was groupism in the local committee. My father stuck to groupism. After a meet, a verbal dispute broke out between my father and Ajith. When they knew about my pregnancy, my father said other factional groups in local committee asked Ajith to impregnate me. My father’s perception was that it was a planned one. Truly speaking, only both of us knew about the pregnancy. Others who were with us did not know that and they came to know about it only at the eighth month.

Anupama, who is the daughter of Jayachandran, the Peroorkada CPI-M area committee member, had alleged that her baby was taken away by her family without her consent and given up for adoption. The court finally gave Anupama custody of the baby.
