Drunk Congress leader creates trouble in bus, off-loaded, takes revenge on bus

VELLANAD: A drunk Congress leader, who created trouble in a bus, was off-loaded by the conductor. The leader took revenge by pelting stones at the bus. The man has been identified as Manikuttan, a Congress leader and former Vellanad gram panchayat member. The incident took place in front of the Vellanad village office by noon on Sunday. A few days ago, Manikuttan had smashed the plaque of Vellanad panchayat office.

The conductor and driver off-loaded the leader as he created trouble for the passengers. In revenge, he got on a bike and halted the bus in front of the Vellanad village office and pelted stones at the bus. Conductor Anoop (35) has sustained injuries in the incident. Some other passengers in the bus have also sustained small wounds. Manikuttan has been taken into custody by the Aryanad police following a complaint lodged by the conductor.
